Because this model is not pre-wired with a cord, it is intended for permanent electrical setups. For safety and compliance, wiring should be completed by a licensed electrician and must include a manual disconnect switch. Once power is active, the motor actively holds the panel open; when power is disconnected, high-tension return springs pull the louvers back into a secure, closed position. For a fully hands-free solution, this unit can be paired with an optional VC115 thermostat to automate your ventilation based on specific temperature set points.
