Fresh Winter Greens Through Snow and Subzero Temp.

What do you grow in your greenhouse?
This winter was was first crop! It fed us almost entirely from December to right now (April 8 2026). We grew: white, red and Winterbor varieties of Kale, arugula, Little Green Salad Greens, parsley, Mustard Greens, spinach and beets.

How did this greenhouse change your growing season?
We are vegetarians, and the greenhouse made all the difference in the world. The quality of our greens which is mostly what e eat, if very noticeable from organic store bought. For flavor, cell density of the greens themselves and texture we found them to be more delicious than anything else we’ve ever eaten.

What's your favourite thing about your Planta Greenhouse?
WE can feed ourselves! Salad in snow! Loved being in the green house in deep winter because it’s very uplifting to be with growing things that are so happy to be alive.

What do you want to say to a person considering buying a Planta Greenhouse?
Haven’t done any upgrades yet but are planning to use shade cloth this summer, oh, we did install hand made raised beds. Also we will install exhaust louver fan in the coming weeks. We headed out greenhouse this winter with a small rotating heater and at lots of below zero and one night of minus 40F with frost covers, all the greens made it fine through the whole winter.
