Year-Round Growing on a Hillside

What year did you install this greenhouse? 2024

What do you grow inside your greenhouse? All vegetables. This was our first season so still figuring it out. Our soil needs a lot of work but we grew lettuce, cabbage, broccoli, carrots, kales, garlic, collards, etc.

How did your Planta Greenhouse improve your gardening experience? Mine is heated so I can grow year round. However, there will be a learning curve. I also need to amend my soil a lot. I didn’t finish the building until fall so I had a very late start. I hope to improve everything this coming season.

What was your experience like buying from Planta Greenhouses? Very pleasant. Customer service was very helpful and easy to get in touch with.

What type of upgrades you've done? Tell us about your most innovative DIY solutions added to your greenhouse. I have a sink with a seed starting area, an overhead propane vented heater. My greenhouse was on a pretty steep slope so I had to raise one whole end about 3.5 ft off the ground which required a lot of additional work. The raised end also has a 10x10 ft deck. I think it turned out very nice.

What's your favorite thing about your Planta Greenhouse? How sturdy it is. It’s also very nice looking compared to hoop houses.
