What do you grow inside your greenhouse? Start annual flowers, perennials, and vegetables. Grow tomatoes, cucumbers, strawberries, lettuce, and kale.

How did your Planta Greenhouse improve your gardening experience? Each year, we love to fill up our yard with flowering annuals and perennials as well as multiple large vegetable gardens. In the past, we would spend well over $1000 per year on young plants from area greenhouses. Last year, we only spent a fraction of that since we were able to start our own plants. Other than the practical side of buying a Planta Greenhouse, we really enjoy the extended gardening season that it has given us. It's just fun to hang out inside!

What was your experience like buying from Planta Greenhouses? Our Planta Greenhouse was very easy to buy. Once ordered online, it was in Lethbridge to pick up within a week.

What type of upgrades you've done? Tell us about your most innovative DIY solutions added to your greenhouse. We did a lot of added upgrades to the Sungrow greenhouse. When purchasing it, I knew that I wanted to raise it up to provide additional overhead space for hanging baskets. This involved constructing a fully-insulated wooden foundation and pony wall. Probably the most challenging part of doing that was modifying the door to keep it easily accessible. We also added built-in shelving, 3-season plumbing, electricity, and concrete slabs on top of drain gravel.

What's your favorite thing about your Planta Greenhouse? My favorite thing about our Planta Greenhouse is sitting inside of it on a sunny winter's day and enjoying the warmth, even if it's windy outside (a very common occurrence around here!).

Anything else you'd like to add? There are still things we're learning about our greenhouse such as maintaining more moderate temperatures inside when things are scorching hot outside. I also have videos showing the construction of the greenhouse foundation in case you'd like to see them. For whatever reason, this form would not accept them.
