What do you grow in your greenhouse?
Got a late start in late June. Grew yellow summer squash, zuchinni, cherry tomatoes, small peppers, cucumbers, a pumpkin, string beans and sweet corn, lettuce, spinach
How did this greenhouse change your growing season?
This greenhouse is intended to give me atleast 2 months more growing time and enhance plant productivity. I tried heating the greenhouse in October last year to see if I could extend my season and get 1 ear of corn, but I ran out of sun. Proper heating would not be cost effective in the fall, but may be in late April and May depending on the year. A permanent greenhouse means I dont have to take everything down each year and definitely helps with the set up and early planting

How was your experience buying from Planta Greenhouses?
Purchasing the greenhouse kit was simple and Planta staff was very helpful. Shipping to Alaska was not so simple starting with me buying the kit in August and it arriving during September ... hunting season. The package arrived with damage to some panels and it took 2 more tries to make it right, but Planta was very helpful insisting I needed new poly sheets. With winter approaching I decided to wait until Spring 2025 to construct a base for my new greenhouse. Building a base on uneven ground is not advisable and using the installation videos is recommended. I found the manual challenging at best and the non tapered screws difficult to work with. Progress was slow, especially trying to do most of the work by myself. Once you have installed several ribs, progress moves faster. My month-long project took me 2 months.
What's your favourite thing about your Planta Greenhouse?
I dont have to wait until late May to put up a small tent greenhouse every year snd then take it down in late Sep. It gives me the ability to try to grow veggies that I have not tried before ... and be successful.
What do you want to say to a person considering buying a Planta Greenhouse?
I was just happy to complete my greenhouse and get plants in and growing. I have 2 vents to install and grow everything invelecated planters except for the corn and pumpkins. I did add a small table and chair for my wife to sit and read or relax in 80F-90F weather when the outside tempertures are in to 40s-50s and tgere is a breeze.

It takes 2 people or more to easily put a greenhouse up. Once you have done it, and a base has been constructed, you can cut the time in half. Use the Utube videos, they really help. Drawings in the manual are often confusing making it hard to visualize if a rib is facing up or down. The screw are European end clipped and not tapered making if difficilt to start nuts. The Utube video power connects the screws and nuts, I did not. Once you get one build, you will love it. I am willing to help new owners start their build and looking at one makes things go faster.
