What do you grow in your greenhouse?
Tropical plants and Succulents. I have kept my tropical plants in my large work office during winter for the past 20 years. In the summer they reside in our backyard. I am now semi-retired and needed a home for my plants since I no longer had the spacious office. They do not fit inside our home so I needed an option. To the rescue came Planta Greenhouse.
How did this greenhouse change your growing season?
Well, my greenhouse is not just about gardening. It is so much more. Our Planta Greenhouse has become the new home gathering spot for our family. It has created a year round oasis in our back yard. We hang out in the Planta greenhouse all year long, thanks to our Phoenix Greenhouse heater and the insulating properties of the greenhouse.
Our primary use is to grow tropical plants and succulents which it does quite well. All of my plants are thriving. However that is just the beginning. It is a wonderful place for morning coffee and breakfast for my wife and I. It is now a cigar and whiskey lounge for my brother and I while we watch sporting events inside the greenhouse on an IPAD. It is a place for solitude and prayer, it is our mini chapel. The greenhouse is also a wonderfully quiet place to read. Another benefit is that it becomes a private hangout for people when we have family and friends over. In all it has become an incredible addition for our home and family and we are so blessed to have it.

What do you want to say to a person considering buying a Planta Greenhouse?
It was built on pea gravel for easy drainage when watering. No worries about spills or splashes. I have a sun screen cover that i put in place for summer to cut down on the heat. I also have a fan to bring air through. In addition I have planted Hop vines to grow over the top of the greenhouse during summer months. Once they are established they should provide great shade and cover for the greenhouse.

We are so happy with our purchase. It was a challenge to build but so much fun at the same time. It was like putting together a giant Erector Set, just like I had as a child. I felt such great satisfaction when I successfully completed the greenhouse.
