What made you get a Planta Greenhouse?
The price was right, the technicians always answered the phone to help with problems putting it together, the size fit in my yard, & the most important thing was the rating for wind velocity. Our normal wind in Little Egg Harbor, NJ is 20 mph. The Planta Greenhouse was rated the highest for wind velocity of all of the greenhouses that I looked at. The company technicians found a family near us that had a Planta greenhouse. The family they referred us to were so friendly & helpful. They were there every step of the way with pictures & texts, helping my husband along with the technicians to put it together. I love my Planta greenhouse. I’m so happy I purchased it.
What competitors did you consider before purchasing from Planta Greenhouses?
I don’t remember all the different competitors that I looked at. I researched greenhouses on eBay as well as Amazon. I checked for greenhouses in Home Depot & Lowe’s. I also googled greenhouses to see what was available. They were either too expensive or the companies could not guarantee a high wind rating.
Why did you choose to buy from Planta Greenhouses?
As stated previously, the price was right for us. The technicians always answered the phone or called back with help putting it together. Planta Greenhouse was the only one that could guarantee a wind rating over 45 MPH.
What do you grow inside your greenhouse?
I have many tropical plants. I’m so happy now to have a Greenhouse for them. I have 2 large palm trees, 6 medium size hibiscus, 5 medium size Mandeville, a few dendrobium orchids, & a begonia. In March I was able to start all my vegetables from seed in the greenhouse. By May I had nice size plants to put in the ground outside. These are some of the vegetable seeds that were planted: spaghetti squash, butternut squash, red onions, Spanish onions, peppers, Roma tomatoes, beefsteak tomatoes, corn, string beans, cantaloupe, & cucumbers.
How did your Planta Greenhouse improve your gardening experience?
I lived in Pemberton Boro, NJ for 23 years before moving to Little Egg Harbor, NJ. I had an 18-foot-long greenhouse attached to my kitchen in the previous house. When I moved to Little Egg Harbor, 3 years ago, I was so sad that I did not have a greenhouse. For a year and a half, I thought I could live without a greenhouse. I was so mistaken! I can’t wait to continue my growing experiences in my new Planta greenhouse.
What was your experience like buying from Planta Greenhouses?
Purchasing my Planta Greenhouse was so easy I could not believe it! The kit came exactly when planned. I saved money, by picking it up at the distribution center instead of having it shipped directly to our house.
Customer service in the company is wonderful. The technicians are always on hand to answer questions & help with the assembly.
What's your favorite thing about the Planta Greenhouse?
I have 2 favorite things about my greenhouse. One is the top vents that I purchased as an add-on. They open & close automatically depending on the heat inside. In the winter they will be locked so it will be more efficient to heat. The other main reason I purchased from the Planta company was the fact of the rating for wind speed. Planta is the only company that guarantees against winds up to 45 mph.
What would you say to a person considering purchasing a Planta Greenhouse?
I would tell the people looking to purchase a greenhouse they should definitely look around & compare. You will find that the Planta company is far superior to the other companies selling greenhouses. Feel free to call me with any questions that you might have.
