Witnessing growth inside the greenhouse

What made you get a Planta Greenhouse?
I love the Victorian styling on this greenhouse! But what sold me was that it could withstand strong winds, had corrugated plastic for better insulation, and was at a good price point.

What competitors did you consider before purchasing from Planta Greenhouses?
I don't remember their names now, but one was pre-built, like a household shed, and delivered to your home. I did not like it because the light only came in from the waist up. It was much more expensive (but it WAS prebuilt).

Why did you choose to buy from Planta Greenhouses?
Price. Style. Features.

What do you grow inside your greenhouse?
All my plants are from seed then I transplant them either inside or outside. Arugula, romaine lettuce, cabbage, mustard greens (Mizoula), zinnias, tomatoes, peppers, cauliflower, cucumbers, kale, herbs (basil, fennel, etc.)

How did your Planta Greenhouse improve your gardening experience?
I have one dedicated place near my garden to keep all my planting supplies. I installed three raised beds in my greenhouse and use them as nurseries. My seeds germinate so well and I then thin them out and then they take off and grow like weeds! I also installed a large 6' cattle watering trough and filled it with water. The idea was that it would be a heat sink in the winter and provide moisture in the summer. I don't know if it really worked that well in that capacity (I never noticed a significant warming of the inside temperature, but it works great as a reservoir for water so I can water my raised beds, which do dry out quickly.

What was your experience like buying from Planta Greenhouses?
Yes, easy to buy. It was shipped quickly. Customer service is great. I have called at least 4-5 times with assembly questions and the support person definitely had assembly experience and could answer my questions.

What's your favourite thing about the Planta Greenhouse?
It is a pleasure to go inside and see things growing! I can now successfully grow all my garden plants from seed. I can do anything!

What would you say to a person considering purchasing a Planta Greenhouse?
Aside from the foundation, which my husband and I did together (we used 6" posts laid down horizontally in a trench that was dug to be level -- we left our floor to be the earth), the hardest part was the greenhouse assembly. You will have to watch the videos many, many times. They are not exactly in the same order as the written instructions. It took longer than I thought.

I did assemble it all by myself and only required the help of my husband to actually stand the panels upright and connect. It took 6-8 weeks, given the weather and our schedule. Try to get it done before it gets too cold outside. I didn't finish up until a few weeks before Christmas in Tennessee. Brrr.
