Standing Strong at 90+ MPH Winds

What do you grow inside your greenhouse? Tomatoes, peppers, watermelon, and okra.

How did your Planta Greenhouse improve your gardening experience? I was able to extend growing tomatoes and peppers into December here. Unheard of in our cold, dry, windy climate! This was my first year, so I have so much to learn, but we did put a space heater in to keep it warmer at night. During the day, it still stayed around 80 degrees. I honestly could have gone longer, but I didn’t have a good way to water in freezing temperatures as my hydrant is outside. I made my final harvest before Christmas and shut down the heater.

What was your experience like buying from Planta Greenhouses? It was great! I will be honest, it took a while longer to receive the greenhouse than I had thought. I wish I would have ordered it a month earlier as it took about a month to get to me. But, we still had enough time to get it set up and get a garden planted! We were missing some hardware in the packages, but the company was wonderful and sent it to us right away!

What type of upgrades you've done? Tell us about your most innovative DIY solutions added to your greenhouse. This was our first year, and we are still learning about growing in the greenhouse. We didn’t make any modifications and grew directly in the soil.

What's your favorite thing about your Planta Greenhouse? The 90+ mile-an-hour wind gusts haven’t destroyed it! I am shocked at how well it is doing with our insane wind here.
