Harvesting Tomatoes with Snow on the Ground

Is this your first greenhouse? YES
What year did you install this greenhouse? 2023
What do you grow inside your greenhouse? I’ve started tons of seedlings, including tomatoes, peppers, peas, cucumbers, watermelon, cantaloupe, pumpkins, onions, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, all varieties of squash, herbs, flowers, and loofah plants.
How did your Planta Greenhouse improve your gardening experience? It has extended my growing season well into winter. I planted tomatoes from seed in late summer/early fall just to see how long they would survive—and I had tomatoes growing in early November! My cabbage, planted at the same time, was harvested in early January. Even with frostbitten leaves, they were still edible and delicious. I even harvested potatoes in early January—all while snow covered the ground!
What was your experience like buying from Planta Greenhouses? Customer service was excellent. They are very knowledgeable about their products, and purchasing was very easy.
What type of upgrades have you done? Tell us about your most innovative DIY solutions added to your greenhouse. Before setting up the greenhouse, we placed it on a concrete pad with a built-in drain. Inside, I have tables and a dedicated work area for starting seedlings. I also use large grow bags and containers to extend my fall and winter crops.
What's your favorite thing about your Planta Greenhouse? The ability to keep growing well into winter and get a head start on the next growing season.
Anything else you'd like to add? If anyone is considering a greenhouse, I highly recommend getting one—especially if you love gardening. You won’t regret it!
