The Planta Sungrow Roof Vent is an excellent addition to any Sungrow Greenhouse. It will promote airflow and improve ventilation, both necessary for healthy plant development and disease management.
The number of recommended windows depends on the size of the greenhouse, the climate and growing zone you’re located, and the variety of plants you’re hoping to grow. However, the following figures are a rough guideline:
For effective circulation, we suggest that you install an even number of roof vents on each side of the greenhouse.
It is a good product, I am satisfied with it. I have 2 observations, one is the nuts and bolts should be stainless steel because are rusting and I would like to have a net on the opening to stop the unwanted bugs and animals to access.

A necessary part for small greenhouse. So far the two we have work well and prevent overheating. Temperatures in 20’s here at night and 50’s in day . Greenhouse maintains a60-70 degree . Part of this is due to a 2 ft bed of gravel floor that acts as a heat sink on cold nights. Waits neg to see how deep into our Maine winter, we can grow cold weather greens.
I think next time I will g with the auto lifters.
Overall, my only complaint with the products is the extremely poor instructions on putting it together. Once it is done right, the products work flawlessly.
I purchased and installed my greenhouse in the fall of 2022. I opted to wait to install the windows until the spring given the Minnesota climate. I purchased the manual windows as I needed max control of temps. On the website the pictures show a square arm to support the windows; however, that’s not what you get. You get 2 small rods that are connected with 2 c-clamps. I followed the instructions but the design of the rod will puncture the greenhouse wall under the weight of the window. Frustrated, I contacted customer support and was told to just bend the end of the steel rod. After spending $5k, the LAST thing I wanted to do was bend a component undoubtedly voiding the warranty. It’s also not nearly as strong as it needs to be for our windy days. Again—I would have gone a different route if the pictures on the website were accurate.
